Bergamot Whiskey Sour
1.5oz whiskey
0.75oz lemon juice (or bergamot if you can find it!)
0.75oz bergamot syrup
1 egg white (optional)
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until well-chilled and strain into cocktail glass.
For the egg white version, before adding ice, dry shake all ingredients in your cocktail shaker, then add ice and shake again to chill. Strain into cocktail glass.
Earl Grey Martini
2 oz gin (or vodka, if you prefer)
1 bag of Earl Grey tea (best to use a variety that uses real bergamot oil rather than bergamot flavor)
1 oz bergamot syrup
0.5 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 egg white (optional, for a frothy texture)
Pour your gin or vodka over your teabag and let steep for 15 minutes (don't oversteep). [side note: you can infuse up to 8oz of spirits with one tea bag]
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until well-chilled and strain into cocktail glass.
