The Best Strawberry Matcha Latte
Share
Spring has sprung, and Starbucks is drawing us in with those delicious lavender matcha lattes. If you've had one, you know the magic of pairing earthy matcha with subtle complementary flavors. Last year, I discovered something better. Enter Strawberry Sage Simple Syrup.
Typical strawberry syrups are overly sweet and one-dimensional, and other typical strawberry pairings like basil just didn't do it for me. Then I found the perfect secret ingredient to cut through the saccarine: sage. No shade to lavender, but I love the way the sweet strawberries and earthy sage complement matcha.
Why Strawberry Sage?
Matcha’s bold and grassy profile can sometimes feel overpowering, which is why it pairs so beautifully with nuanced flavors. The sage in our syrup acts as a grounding note, cutting through matcha’s intensity while the strawberry adds just the right touch of brightness. It’s a combination that feels indulgent yet balanced.
