Full Moon Fashioned
2 oz bourbon or whiskey
1-2 tsps Cardamom + Vanilla Syrup
3 dashes bitters
Garnish: cherry and orange peel
Place liquor, syrup, and bitters in an Old Fashioned glass and stir to combine. Add 1-2 large ice cubes and stir to chill. Garnish with a cherry and a slice of orange peel expressed over the glass.
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1.5-2 oz Cardamom + Vanilla syrup
Make sure whisk and bowl are ice cold. Whip heavy cream and syrup together, increasing speed as it thickens, until stiff peaks form.
1 cup room temperature butter
2 cups all purpose flour
0.5 cup Cardamom + Vanilla syrup
Pinch of salt
Powdered Sugar and syrup for glaze
Cream butter and syrup together on high for 10 minutes. In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually incorporate into wet ingredients just until combined. Chill for one hour. Roll and cut on well floured surface, and bake at 325 for 20 minutes. After cooling on wire rack, glaze by combining powdered sugar and syrup. Dip the cookies in the glaze and leave on a cooling rack to harden. Optionally, sprinkle with a little cinnamon for extra spiffiness!
